Ingredients
2 cups Flour
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup water
5-8 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs

Homemade Icing Ingredients
6 Tablespoons milk
5-8 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup butter
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions for cake
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Grease a sheet (cookie) pan with some butter and a dusting of flour
3. Mix butter, cocoa, and water in a saucepan on the stove, bring to a boil over medium heat. Cool the mixture.
4. Mix dry ingredients (flour, white sugar, salt, and baking soda) with sour cream and eggs. Add the water, butter, and cocoa mixture when it is COOL.
5. Pour into sheet pan and bake for maybe 20 minutes at the most, keep your eye on it as it bakes quickly.

Directions for Icing
1. Bring milk, cocoa and butter to boil on the stove just like you did before.
2. On the stove stir in vanilla and sugar.
3. Spread over cake after it’s done in the oven and while it’s still warm.
